Smoked OAK
Smoked OAK is a Kuuks veneered slat panel in which the smoking process deepens oak into a darker, warmer brown while the natural grain stays visible. The felt acoustic base absorbs sound, cutting echo on walls and ceilings in formal interiors.
Slats are 12mm veneered MDF, 27mm wide with 13mm spacing, in 2400mm or 2800mm lengths. The base is 7mm or 9mm GRS-certified recycled PET felt in black or grey. Slats and felt are classified B-s1,d0.

Yes. The darker, more formal tone suits boardrooms, law and finance offices, restaurants, hotel bars and reception walls, where lighter oak would feel too casual. For schools we assess the room against its BB93 target at the survey.
Kuuks states B-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1 for the slats and the felt base, and the deeper colour does not change that. We still check the classification against your building's fire strategy before ordering.
Kuuks states it suits walls and ceilings. Our installation team fixes it, typically directly to a sound wall or to battens, and confirms the right method for your surface, including plasterboard, at the survey.
