Who we are
We are Acoustic Design & Architecture, based in Milton Keynes. We are the data controller for the personal information you give us, and we handle it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you send us a message through the contact form, or contact us by email or phone, we collect the details you give us: your first and last name, email address, phone number, the type of space, your timescale, your role if you give it, your postcode, and your message describing the problem. If you tick the box to receive acoustic tips and project news, we also record that marketing preference. When you visit the website, our hosting provider also processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so the site can be delivered and kept secure.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and to arrange and carry out a survey.
- To prepare advice, reports and quotations for your project.
- To keep records of our work and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
- To improve this website and our services.
We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. It only relies on the technology needed to load pages and to protect our contact form from spam and bots. If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with providers who help us run the website and our business, and only as far as they need it: Webflow (website hosting and contact form submissions), Cloudflare (spam protection on our contact form) and our email and IT providers. Fonts and scripts on this site are loaded from third-party services such as Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which receive your IP address when your browser requests them. Some of these providers are based outside the UK; where they handle personal data, we rely on appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information where the law requires, or to protect our rights.

This website may link to, or embed content from, other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. We encourage you to read their policies.
Keeping your information secure and how long we keep it
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep your information only as long as we need it for your enquiry, any resulting project, and our legal obligations. After that we delete it, or you can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, erase it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it to you. You can also object to our processing or withdraw your consent at any time. These rights do not apply where we are required to keep information for legal or administrative reasons. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
