Acoustic Ceiling Systems

Tiles often drop into an existing grid, with no full ceiling rebuild
Absorbing sound in a room and blocking it between rooms are different jobs
Tiles lift out, so services stay reachable
The void depth above the tiles changes performance, so we measure it first
Acoustic Ceiling Systems
Acoustic ceiling systems replace a standard suspended grid with tiles engineered for sound absorption, without changing how the ceiling is installed or accessed. Modular acoustic ceiling systems replace a standard suspended grid with tiles engineered for sound absorption, without changing the way the ceiling is installed or accessed. Services stay reachable, tile replacement stays simple, and the room gains consistent, wall-to-wall acoustic coverage from day one. Available in a range of tile finishes and edge details, these systems suit offices, healthcare and education projects where a clean, uniform ceiling plane is part of the brief alongside the acoustic target. Because the whole ceiling becomes the absorptive surface, coverage is far more even than spot-treating with panels or baffles — a straightforward way to hit a reverberation-time target across an entire floorplate. We specify the tile and edge detail that hits your reverberation target for the room, then supply and install across the UK — get in touch for a free survey.
Sound absorption
The whole ceiling plane becomes the absorptive surface, giving more even coverage than spot treatment.
Design flexibility
A range of tile finishes and edge details fit within most existing suspended grids.

From first survey to final finish
One team handles all seven stages, the same way on every project, so you always know what happens next.
A surveyor visits the site, or works from your drawings and photos when a visit isn't practical. Either way, the room, its surfaces and how it is used are recorded before any advice is given.
Reverberation, ambient noise and noise transfer are read against what the space is used for. The findings arrive as a written report with recommendations, yours to keep with no obligation to proceed.
Treatment is modelled against a reverberation target, then drawn up with panel positions, fixings and finishes. Nothing moves forward until you have approved the design.
Every quotation comes with the specification behind it, listing products by type, quantity and finish with costs set out line by line. What is quoted is what the design calls for.
Panels, baffles, ceilings and screens come from our Acoustic Solutions range and are supplied to the approved specification. What arrives on site matches what was designed.
Our own engineers fit to the approved drawings, checking positions and fixings as they go. One team supplies and installs, so nothing is handed between contractors.
Optional: after fit-out the space can be measured again and compared with the original survey, so the improvement is measured rather than assumed. Results are reported against the relevant standards and the written record goes into your building file.
One contractor from first measurement to final sign-off
We work in a strict sequence. Each stage is verified before the next one begins.

Site Survey & Assessment
We listen to the problem and understand the space. You tell us what you hear and when it matters most.

Design & Quotation
An engineer visits the site and assesses the reverberation, noise transfer and how the space is used. You receive clear recommendations.

Supply &
Install
We specify the correct materials and plan the work around your operation. Nothing is left to chance.

Testing & Compliance
We fit the treatment cleanly with minimal disruption. Before-and-after measurement is available as an option.
Acoustic product FAQs: specification, performance and installation
Answers to the questions buyers ask most about this type of acoustic product.
In most refurbishments, yes. Acoustic tiles are made to sit in a standard T-bar grid, so you swap the tiles without rebuilding the ceiling. We check the grid's condition, tile size, weight capacity and the depth of the void at the survey, before anything is specified.
Yes. Tiles lift out like any suspended ceiling tile, so lights, sprinklers, cabling and ductwork stay reachable. Some edge details and hold-down clips reduce access, so we specify them with maintenance in mind rather than only appearance.
No. Absorption changes with the tile's core, thickness, surface finish, edge detail and the depth of void above it. Check the tested absorption class for the exact tile and mounting depth. Note that a tile that absorbs well may still not block sound travelling between rooms over the top of walls.
Yes, they are common in both, provided the tile meets the room's requirements: BB93 reverberation targets in schools, HTM 08-01 in healthcare, plus cleanability and fire rating. We confirm the standard for your building type before specifying a product.
Often, when you have a low ceiling and an existing grid. A full ceiling of tiles spreads absorption evenly across the floor, which makes a target easier to hit and to prove. In tall rooms, baffles or rafts can be more efficient, so we compare the options in the survey.
