Feltouch
Make Up Lighting
Make Up Lighting is an acoustic lighting element that joins illumination and sound absorption in a single architectural form. Its recycled PET felt body reduces reverberation and helps speech stay clear in open-plan offices, meeting areas, lounges, reception spaces and libraries.
Designed by Ayça Akkaya Kul, Make Up Lighting is made from 50% recycled PET felt in 53 standard Feltouch colours. It comes in suspended and surface-mounted versions, with either linear or linear-plus-spot lighting configurations.

Where it works, fire rating and fitting
Your product questions, answered, for UK schools, offices and venues.
It suits open-plan offices, meeting areas, lounges, reception spaces, libraries and collaborative environments. A library or study area in a school is assessed against its BB93 target at the survey, so quantities are based on the room rather than a guess.
The product information states no rating, and Feltouch data can differ by colour and finish. We read the classification on the manufacturer's data sheet and measure it against your building's requirements before we order anything.
Our installation team fixes either the suspended or the surface-mounted version, depending on the ceiling. Because the fitting is lit, the electrical connection is made by your electrician. We agree the layout with you at the free site survey.
There are two mounting versions, suspended and surface-mounted, and two lighting configurations, linear or linear plus spot. The felt is 50% recycled PET, offered in 53 standard Feltouch colours, so it can match or contrast with the ceiling.
Samples are available on request; allow a few working days. To size the scheme, a free site survey gives you a quotation and an AI-assisted acoustic report. If you want before-and-after figures, acoustic measurement is offered as a paid add-on.
