Zig Felt Panel

Zig is a patterned felt acoustic panel that absorbs echo off hard surfaces in offices, restaurants and meeting rooms. It is the counterpart to Zag, with the pattern running in a contrasting direction, so a designer can build a coordinated wall from few panel types.

Zig is designed to combine with Zag and the Bold panel. Each panel is 600 × 600 × 13mm needle-punched PET felt: 100% PET, up to 60% recycled content and recyclable, for indoor wall and ceiling use.

Where it works, fire rating and fitting

Your product questions, answered, for UK schools, offices and venues.

Is Zig suitable for restaurants, offices and schools?

Yes. Zig's felt face absorbs echo off hard surfaces, which suits restaurants, offices and meeting rooms, and it is made for indoor walls and ceilings. In a school we assess it against the BB93 target at the survey.

Are Acoustera felt panels like Zig environmentally friendly?

Zig is needle-punched PET felt: 100% PET, up to 60% recycled content and recyclable. The panels are 600 × 600 × 13mm, with finish and colour taken from the standard colour card.

Does Zig have a fire classification?

The manufacturer lists Class A (ASTM E84) and B-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1 for the felt. Before ordering, we confirm it from the data sheet against your building's requirements, because each project's fire strategy is different.

How is Zig installed alongside Zag and Bold?

Our installation team confirms the fixing for your surface at the free site survey and fits the panels. Zig, Zag and Bold are designed to combine, so the mix is set out on the wall with you first.

Can I see Zig before ordering, and how many panels will I need?

Samples are available on request; allow a few working days. We calculate the quantity from room size and use, and the free site survey gives you a quotation and an AI-assisted acoustic report.
