Layer
Layer is a modular suspended pendant in 50% recycled PET felt that absorbs ambient sound while its surface softly reflects light. Used alone or combined into larger compositions, it suits offices, meeting rooms, hospitality venues, educational spaces and co-working areas.
Designed by the Feltouch Design Team, Layer comes in 1200mm, 1800mm, 2400mm and 3000mm lengths, in 2700K, 3000K or 4000K. Control is On/Off, DALI or Casambi, in 53 standard Feltouch felt colours.

Yes. Layer is modular, so a fitting can hang alone or join others into a larger pendant composition. Its felt absorbs sound above meeting tables, workstations and teaching tables. Several fittings are usually needed to change how a whole room sounds.
It suits offices, meeting rooms, hospitality environments, educational spaces and co-working areas. For a school we assess the room against its BB93 target at the survey, then advise on lengths and positions.
Our installation team fixes the suspended luminaires, including combined runs. The electrical connection is made by your electrician. Our acoustician can advise on positions at a free site survey.
Feltouch's published data classifies Layer as B-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1: limited contribution to fire, very low smoke, no flaming droplets. We check the chosen finish against your building's fire strategy before anything is ordered.
Samples are available on request; allow a few working days. Coverage is worked out from the room's volume, finishes and use. A free site survey gives you a quotation and an AI-assisted acoustic report; measurement is a paid add-on.
