A flagship campus hall needed to resolve acoustic performance and sightlines across a two-tier seating arrangement.

The performing hall at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Esenyurt Education Campus is the largest of the campus's notable halls: a multi-purpose venue of 800 seats for the campus's full range of activities.

The brief called for two-tier seating, which added complexity to the acoustic and sightline design. We combined convex-curved acoustic timber panels with a stepped ceiling, and enriched its sculpted forms with indirect lighting.

The campus now has a flagship venue for its events programme.

Solution

Convex-curved acoustic timber panels were paired with a stepped ceiling structure enriched by indirect lighting, delivering high-performance architectural acoustics across both tiers.

Acoustic Product Supply

Panels, baffles, ceilings and screens come from the manufacturers we work with and are supplied to the approved specification. What arrives on site matches what was designed.

Acoustic Installation

Our installation team fits to the approved drawings, checking positions and fixings as they go. One team supplies and installs the treatment.

Acoustic Testing & Compliance

Optional paid add-on: after fit-out the space can be measured again and compared with the original survey, so the improvement is measured rather than assumed. Compliance testing is carried out with our testing partner, EMC Acoustics, and the written record goes into your building file.
