A special education centre needed maximum seating capacity within its footprint, alongside a visual character suited to early years learners.

This hall was built for a new primary and pre-school education facility in Kayseri, delivered as a fully integrated design-build project.

The brief was to achieve the maximum practical seating capacity within the existing building envelope while giving the room a dynamic character in keeping with early years education.

The finished 290-seat hall combines colourful acoustic panels with coordinated seating tones.

Challenge

A special education centre needed maximum seating capacity within its footprint, alongside a visual character suited to early years learners.

The hall needed the maximum practical seating capacity within the existing building envelope.

The design also had to balance acoustic performance with a visual identity suited to young children, avoiding a purely functional or clinical finish.

Solution

Acoustic timber panelling was combined with a custom geometric pattern of coloured acoustic fabric panels, echoed by randomly scattered coloured seats within a dominant camel-tone seating palette.

High-specification acoustic timber panelling was overlaid with acoustic fabric panels in a custom geometric pattern, each panel selected in a different colour. Dynamic LED lighting allows the hall to take on varied atmospheres.

Seating follows a dominant camel-tone palette, with individual seats in colours matched to the wall panels scattered at random through the rows to echo the wall design.

Outcomes

A 290-seat hall that is both acoustically resolved and visually engaging for its young audience.

A 290-seat hall that is bright, considered and suited to its young audience, while meeting the acoustic standards expected of a full-capacity multi-purpose space.

Acoustic Survey

A surveyor visits the site, or works from your drawings and photos when a visit isn't practical. Either way, the room, its surfaces and how it is used are recorded before any advice is given.

Acoustic Assessment

Reverberation, ambient noise and noise transfer are read against what the space is used for. The findings arrive as a written report with recommendations, yours to keep with no obligation to proceed.

Acoustic Design

Treatment is modelled against a reverberation target, then drawn up with panel positions, fixings and finishes. Nothing moves forward until you have approved the design.

Specification & Quotation

Every quotation comes with the specification behind it, listing products by type, quantity and finish with costs set out line by line. What is quoted is what the design calls for.

Acoustic Product Supply

Panels, baffles, ceilings and screens come from our Acoustic Solutions range and are supplied to the approved specification. What arrives on site matches what was designed.

Acoustic Installation

Our own engineers fit to the approved drawings, checking positions and fixings as they go. One team supplies and installs, so nothing is handed between contractors.

Acoustic Testing & Compliance

Optional: after fit-out the space can be measured again and compared with the original survey, so the improvement is measured rather than assumed. Results are reported against the relevant standards and the written record goes into your building file.
