A conference hall in Turkey's furniture-making capital called for a timber concept that reflected the city's identity rather than a standard acoustic fit-out.

İnegöl is widely regarded as Turkey's centre of timber and furniture manufacturing, and this college's conference hall was conceived as a deliberate reflection of that local identity rather than a standard acoustic fit-out.

Bespoke three-dimensional timber forms in a rare veneer carry custom RGB LED lighting, and the original pitched roof was retained to keep the volume open.

Challenge

A conference hall in Turkey's furniture-making capital called for a timber concept that reflected the city's identity rather than a standard acoustic fit-out.

Rather than specifying standard acoustic timber panelling, the brief called for a bespoke concept built around three-dimensional timber forms and a rare veneer finish, giving the hall a material character specific to its location.

Solution

Bespoke three-dimensional acoustic timber forms in a rare veneer were combined with embedded RGB LED lighting, while the original roof pitch and side-routed ventilation preserved ceiling height.

Custom RGB LED lighting was set into the three-dimensional timber forms, allowing the hall to be shifted between a range of ambiences for different events.

The original pitched roof form was retained to maximise ceiling height, with ventilation ductwork routed along both side walls to keep the volume open rather than compressing it.

Outcomes

A 330-seat hall with a distinctive, locally rooted timber character and adaptable lighting.

A 330-seat hall whose timber detailing speaks directly to İnegöl's craft identity, with lighting that keeps the space adaptable for a wide range of uses.

From first survey to final finish

One team handles all seven stages, the same way on every project, so you always know what happens next.

Acoustic Survey

A surveyor visits the site, or works from your drawings and photos when a visit isn't practical. Either way, the room, its surfaces and how it is used are recorded before any advice is given.

Acoustic Assessment

Reverberation, ambient noise and noise transfer are read against what the space is used for. The findings arrive as a written report with recommendations, yours to keep with no obligation to proceed.

Acoustic Design

Treatment is modelled against a reverberation target, then drawn up with panel positions, fixings and finishes. Nothing moves forward until you have approved the design.

Specification & Quotation

Every quotation comes with the specification behind it, listing products by type, quantity and finish with costs set out line by line. What is quoted is what the design calls for.

Acoustic Product Supply

Panels, baffles, ceilings and screens come from our Acoustic Solutions range and are supplied to the approved specification. What arrives on site matches what was designed.

Acoustic Installation

Our own engineers fit to the approved drawings, checking positions and fixings as they go. One team supplies and installs, so nothing is handed between contractors.

Acoustic Testing & Compliance

Optional: after fit-out the space can be measured again and compared with the original survey, so the improvement is measured rather than assumed. Results are reported against the relevant standards and the written record goes into your building file.
